This is a song from the perspective of a parent who has had their child alienated from them due to a corrupt family court system, and a vindictive ex who took full advantage of the corrupt system. It represents how the courts are only about money, and not the true best interest of the child. It leaves one parent and their side of the family both broken and broke. Children need both loving parents. I dedicate this to my daughter, Madeline, who I've missed for 17 years and counting. I can't wait for the day that Maddie gets new friends who will truly question the logic of why I'm not in her life, and she will then begin to think for herself and see through the lies. I love her, regardless of what she thinks of me. All I wanted was a chance to be a dad to her.
